While my journey with professional photography began in 2009, my creative journey started at a very young age. From the time I could fingerpaint and hold a pencil I loved drawing, painting, and writing, and always knew I wanted to grow up and be an artist. In addition to pursuing photography after college I got my Alaska teaching certificate and spent 10+ years teaching middle school math—a big departure from what I thought I would be doing but some very good and rewarding years of my life!

After many big life changes, I decided it was time to make my photography business a full-time pursuit. Alaska has been my home for 40 years and while it will always have a big piece of my heart, I’ll be moving in late summer to Chicago to join my fiancé before our wedding in September. While I’ll miss the adventurous shoots in the mountains and glaciers, I can’t wait to make new friends in and around Chicago and explore the cityscape, beaches, gardens, and lake for new places to take photos! ♡
